Meeting Reminders

Hi all! I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday and an enjoyable weekend! There are a few things to remind you of for up and coming meetings:

December 1 - (that's tomorrow!) is Christmas Craft Day. You might want to bring a bag or something to take your crafts home. This is a really fun day!

December 15 - Our Christmas Party and the Ugliest Christmas Sweater Contest--no purchase necessary, bring what you have or shop the thrift stores if you have that competitive spirit. We'll also do an ornament exchange $5 limit, unwrapped.

Also, remember the clothing exchange table in the back of the room now. If you have any gently used or new clothes you would like to pass on bring it on in and place it on the table.

Operation Christmas Child - Reminder

This is your friendly reminder to get those wonderful shoeboxes put together to bring to the next meeting. You can go here OCC for information about the program, suggestions for the box and printable labels.

There is also a friendly competition going on between tables so the table that brings the most will get a prize! Yeah, I have no idea what it is, but it should be really cool!

So run out now so you'll be ready and can mark it off your to-do list and we'll see you at the next meeting on the 17th.

Meeting Schedule

Just wanted to give a quick reminder about the next couple of meetings. Tomorrow. Yep. Don't miss it!

And after that is November 17. Not to be missed, I promise!

Yeah, so ALL the meetings are not to be missed. But that's just because they're great. And fun. And we have food.

Meeting Notes

Tuesday, October 20 was our most recent meeting the topic being Disaster Preparedness. A speaker from the Red Cross came and gave us the low down on how to prepare in advance for such things as flooding, earthquake and, especially good for our area, a lahar (which would be the gigantic mud flow caused by a volcanic eruption). If you missed the meeting or simply want to review you can find information here - Rainier Redcross.

Also, some information was missing from our Fall newsletter. If you have a home business and would like to do a kindness as well as get a bit of free advertising you can make a donation to our door prize selection. You would be welcome to include a business card and thus get the word out about your business!
